Before you print out a design in Microsoft Publisher 2007, try using the Design Checker, to catch out any flaws you may have missed. This utility checks your design looking for any design problems, for example, text that is too close to the edge of a page or an object that is not visible. Design Checker will allow you to correct any mistakes; instead of finding them after you’ve printed your design.
- On the Menu Bar click on Tools
- Choose Design Checker
- This will open up the Design Checker Pane
- It will list any design errors it has found in the pane
- Click on the dropdown arrow next to the error it has found
- Click on Fix, if you want it to change it automatically
- Click on Go to this Item, if you want to change it yourself
- If you don’t want something changed click on Never Run this Check Again
- Click on Explain if you don’t understand what it means
- Click on Close Design Checker when you have finished

When you create a design in Publisher 2007 e.g. business cards, you can change the print settings so that you can print out multiple copies of them on one page instead having to print them out one at a time and use loads of paper. Follow these steps to achieve this:
- Click on File and then choose Print Setup.
- From Publication and Paper Settings tab, click on Multiple Copies per Sheet
- You can then choose if you want to print them out in Landscape or Portrait
- There is also the option of altering the Top and Side Margins so you can move your printout further across the page instead of it being at the edge.
- Once you’ve selected options you want, click on Print.
